Vanessa was calming and kept us on track despite all the craziness and some loud personalities.
My fiance and I presented a challenge from the get-go as we’re both uncomfortable in front of a camera and planning a wedding out-of-state. Vanessa exceeded our expectations with the results! The photos are so beautiful and she captured all the important things, taking the time to ensure she made a checklist of the shots I wanted and organizing the group portraits ahead of time. The bridal party ran late getting ready and stress ensued, especially for the MOB. But Vanessa was calming and kept us on track despite all the craziness and some loud personalities. She truly was a fly on the wall, never interfering with our day, yet helped ground me and my new husband throughout the evening. Thank you, Vanessa, for all of your hard work! We’re going to cherish these photographs forever.

Vanessa was AMAZING! From the first time talking on the phone, I could tell that she was incredibly professional, detail-oriented, responsive, talented, and easy-going. She makes you feel like you’re the only wedding she has all season and always responded to quickly to any questions that came up. During the actual wedding day, she was so organized and on top of every little detail we had asked for beforehand yet brought this calm energy at the same time, which was so important to us during the chaotic day! The end results were AMAZING and we honestly didn’t think it was possible for the pictures to turn out so well. She captured such beautiful, funny, and emotional candid shots that helped us relive our special day.

Her photos feel earthy and natural in a way I haven’t seen in other photographers. I know that we are going to treasure these photos for a long time to come. I also really liked how she let the day flow really naturally without getting in the way, and she helped us feel at ease for the portraits, which helped me ease any nerves.
I’m Vanessa
I grew up in Austin, loving photography from the very beginning. I live here in Texas with my husband and son and alll of our pets – Our dogs Sunny, Birdie & Penny; our cat, Tortoise, and a variety of 30+ birds ranging from chickens, guineas, ducks, and one turkey named Timmy. When I’m having a bad day it can be fixed with a plant (Also do you want to talk about house plants? Lets!) I will drop everything for a good estate sale, and when I’m not in Texas I’m in Santa Cruz. But I will travel anywhere for you! With my husband I also run a boutique catering company called Gold Epicure and Duett’s Texas Club in Martindale, Texas.
