Z and C live in NYC but have a deep love for Central Texas, Austin, and especially the small town of Lockhart, Texas where they opted to incorporate all things local into their intimate wedding weekend. Starting off with an intimate family dinner experience at The Carlyle, provided by Gold Epicure; then welcome drinks at Little Trouble followed by dinner for all of their guests at Charlotte’s catered by Commerce Cafe. After that they headed over to Birdie House for late night cocktails and an intimate open mic with their friends and family. For the wedding day, they hosted the ceremony and reception at The Caroline, also in Lockhart.

If you haven’t been to Lockhart before, it’s worth the day trip from Austin. Originally known for it’s barbecue, the downtown square has been transformed and revitalized into a Mecca for local art, vintage, an abundance of family friendly events on almost a weekly basis and, of course, a killer nightlife. If you want to make a weekend of it, there is an handful of renovated and style Airbnb’s all walkable to the square.
