The PRocess

What to expect when you work with us:

01. Inquire with me

Fill out the inquiry form. Tell me about yourself, your partner, and your vision for your wedding. The more details, the better. From there I’ll send over my investment guide for you to review before we chat.

02. Let’s Talk!

We’ll hop on a phone call to go over photography options and to get to know each other a little bit better. If we need to customize any wedding collection, this is a good time to talk that over.

03. Book It

The booking process is quick and simple. I’ll send over the agreement electronically and then an invoice for the retainer. 25% is due to book your date, and the remainder is due 14 days before your wedding. Everything is done online, and you’ll have access view your paperwork anytime throughout the process.

04. Engagement Session

We’ll plan your engagement for a time and location that feels really good for the two of you. It’s a great time to get to know each other even more before the wedding day and to get some practice in front of the camera, too.

05. Gather The Final Details

Throughout the entire planning process, I am available to answer questions, talk over ideas, make vendor recommendations, and everything in between. I’ll work with you to create a photo timeline that works with your other vendors. I’ll also help you put together a shot list for family portraits. My goal is to make the process as easy and stress free as possible, and we’ll work within your vision and priorities for the day. About 6 weeks before the wedding I’ll send you a questionnaire to gather any final details and make sure i have all the information I need to photograph your day intentionally and unobtrusively.

06. Wedding Day!

On your wedding day I’ll be there for all the important moments, even the ones you might miss. To me, your friends & family are a part of the story, too, so you can expect to see them featured in a lot of your wedding photos. Outside of formal portraits, consider me a watcher. You’re fully present in your celebration, and I’m there to see it as it is, naturally.

After your wedding, all of your photos will be artistically edited by me and delivered to you through an online gallery. The gallery is password protected, and you can share it with your friends and family at your discretion. You will download the full resolution images to your personal computer, and you’ll also have the option to order print products directly from there, too.

Ok, SO WHY CHOOSE ME?

  • I’m here to photograph it as it happens, naturally and candidly. Your wedding is not a production; it’s a beautiful celebration, and I want to make images telling that story.
  • I love weddings. Me and wedding photography are MFEO. I’m ready and excited for anything that comes, and we’re leaving the stress behind.
  • For me, weddings are a collaboration. We’re going to explore together and find nooks we’ve never seen. Find light that’s peeking in for just those few moments. We’re catching sunset at the perfect time. We’re playing with light and magic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Start by filling out the questionnaire on my contact page. We’ll chat over initial details, make sure we’re a good fit, and then I’ll send over an agreement to sign and an invoice to pay your retainer. That’s it!

Yes, I require a 25% retainer to book your wedding date.

Absolutely. You will receive your invoice with two installments already set up. One is the retainer and one is the final balance. But you can access your invoice anytime if you’d like to make payments at your pace.

This is totally dependent on your wedding, but a 2nd photographer is always an option. I always recommend a 2nd photographer for weddings that include – getting ready for both partners, particularly if it’s at separate locations; if guest photos during cocktail hour are important to you; if your wedding is details heavy; or if you have a guest count over 100 people. Outside of those scenarios, I photograph many of my weddings solo – I love it, and I’m totally comfortable doing it.

Before your wedding we’ll finalize a shot list to be sure we capture any and all “must have” group photos. I’ll work with you directly to make sure that nothing gets missed. Some couples want to keep this super short and sweet; some couples want to include all their extended family, cousins, and friends from college. And both options are totally ok!

Outside of that, I don’t recommend a shot list for poses or particular shots. As a documentary photographer my goal is to stay out of the way of your wedding. I’m not creating moments, I’m capturing them, so I need to be watching people, not checking a shot list.

A good estimate is about 100 photos per hour of wedding day coverage.

You’ll receive a preview within a week of your wedding. Full wedding day photos will be delivered within 7 weeks. Engagement and portrait sessions are delivered with 14 days.

Absolutely! You can order prints directly through the photo gallery. Album are a customized process, so we’ll work together to create that for you after your wedding day.

That’s ok! Most of us aren’t. My specialty is to make you feel comfortable with me and in front of my camera. I’ll give you as much or as little direction as you need. And we’ll find the sweet spot where those natural, timeless, comfy images come to life.

Your photos will be delivered to you with an online, password protected gallery. You’ll easily be able to provide a shareable link to all of your friends and family, so they can relive the memories, too.

If you need to postpone your wedding for any reason then we will work together to lock in a new date that works for you, me, and your other vendors. Retainers are nonrefundable.

Let’s Collab

First, to me, your wedding is not a production; it’s a magical day, and I’m here to photograph it as it happens, naturally and candidly. I will not ask you to do anything that doesn’t feel authentic. We will collaborate together to make sure you know what to expect – not just with your photos, but also with the wedding day experience.
